Perspectives

 Morning fog.

 Looking out the back door.

Looking back at the house from the top of the hill on San Juan Drive.

Looking back away from the house.
Now you see why I can't get cellphone reception here. We are down in a canyon! It looks like this all around us. There are only 2 microwave towers, and they are on the other side of the hill.

It rained all day today. It is supposed to rain through Monday. What luck! We LOVE the rain. Makes all the trees and shrubbery nice and green, and keeps the dust down. It really isn't that dusty here though. We sure love the country here.

Dorothy Wagner's 108th Birthday Party Sept 2, 2012

Dorothy Wagner turned 108 today, September 2, 2012. Lots of her friends showed up. At first Dorothy was afraid no one would come to her party. I assured her that they would come, and they did.
Two of the best smiling faces I know!

Teresa, Kathy and Ms. Biggs with Dorothy. Ms. Biggs was a friend from the Red Hat Society, of which Dorothy is a member.
These 2 ladies came all the way from Danville, Arkansas as they do every year, to celebrate Dorothy's birthday. Unfortunately I don't remember their names. It was really nice for them to drive all that way to honor Dorothy.

Daniel Ochoa (our Branch President) standing on the right, and Brother Bailey (Mission Leader of the branch) on the left.

Teresa Bailey made this gorgeous flower arrangement from things from her garden at home. Teresa takes care of  Dorothy nearly every day.
Tammy and Precious.

Kathy, Bob and Loretta. I was so happy to see Dorothy smiling! It was an exciting day for her because many of her friends came.

Even the State Representative Linda Collins-Smith showed up! She is running for office of State Senator of District 19. Behind her is Kelly, my hair stylist! On the right is Teresa, Dorothy's volunteer care-taker and dedicated friend.

Video from the Porch

The doe with her fawn came into the yard, looked at me as I moved onto the porch to video them, and then moved across San Juan Drive and disappeared into the thicket, seeming to not be flustered by my presence.
The doe, the deer, the female deer!
Bambi crosses the street, mother in tow.
